Publication of the CiS Research Forum on the Priorities for Research to Address Concussion in Sport

For your information, the CiS Research Forum report identifies ten research priorities to address the issue of concussion in sport, spanning the need to better understand the risk and long-term health consequences, routes to achieve rapid and accurate diagnosis, approaches to improve treatment and prevention, and the need to evaluate health and behavioural interventions. The report was commissioned by the Dept of Culture, Media & Sport, and pulled together by an expert group chaired by Rob Buckle (ex-MRC). It is hoped the report will add impetus for a more coherent research agenda in this area, and provide a framework through which stakeholders (funders, researchers, industry,  sports bodies, policy makers) can work together to achieve greater impact.
