James is a traumatic brain injury survivor and patient advocate. He is patient public involvement and engagement lead for the NIHR Healthtech Research Centre and trustee of United Kingdom Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF). He works extensively to raise awareness of brain injury and promotes patient involvement and engagement in research and is an honorary fellow in science communication at University of East Anglia.
