Lay summary – The oxygen reactivity index is a way of looking at how brain oxygen levels change in relation to blood pressure after traumatic brain injury. Earlier small studies gave mixed results about whether this measure helps show how well the brain is regulating its blood supply or whether it predicts recovery. This study tested the measure in a larger group of TBI patients to see whether it provides useful information about brain function and outcomes.
