Lay summary – Repeated head impacts may increase the risk of brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and motor neurone disease. While the brain changes linked to CTE are well understood, much less is known about whether similar damage occurs in the spinal cord. This study looked at spinal cord changes in people at risk after repeated head impacts.
